Certification in accordance with the guideline for “ECO-Profit”
In
December 2002 Treude & Metz was certified with the label “ECO-Profit”. The
essential target of ECO-Profit is an improvement of the environment protection
within the company to reach cost saving at the same time. To award the famous
certification, round a bound a year the operational processes were proved and
optimised to environmental standard.
One of ECO-Profit’s central ideas is: “What you find in the rubbish was in the string bag before.” To optimise the consumption of recourses (saving of fresh water, energy, material etc.) implies cost-cutting. Therefore ECO-Profit connects the economic sense with ecological use.
The Environment Minister Bärbel Höhn could support this intention with the project “ECO-Profit Region Wittgenstein”. The synonym stands for an ecological project for integrated environmental techniques, promoted by the government, and it functions as well for the slogan at the final event in the city hall of Bad Berleburg.
The
Environment Minister Bärbel Höhn expressed at the award of the environmental
certificate: “If we want to survive
on earth, we have to use our different forms of energy more efficiently.
Factually we have rent our planet only from further generations, that’s why the
saving of recourses is our duty.”
To adapt this opinion with a lot of enthusiasm was no question for Treude & Metz. Doctor Metz documented to the Minister at the following personal conversation in his presentation-stand, that downs and feathers of waterfowl are a natural re-growing raw material, that offers the best heat retention capacity and the best moisture-transfer property, even if you use it for a long time.
Nowadays
more and more studies, especially from abroad, correct the erroneous and the
wide spread misrepresentation of the medicines referring to the themes “allergy
“and any kinds of ”bronchial illnesses”, so that this could lead to a
cost-cutting in the stretched budget of our health system.
Gratefully accepted the Minister the fact of waste disposal without any troubles and even without any residues. In addition the “waste” contains many keratin and can be used as a secondary fertiliser in accordance with the European Norm.
Dr.
Paul-Friedrich Metz presented to Bärbel Höhn a detailed documentation of the
Association of the German Downs- and Feathers Industry concerning the Biological
Cycle of Downs and Feathers. Following to his visit in Bad Laasphe, the
Environmental Speaker of the Green Party in the Government of North Rhine –
Westphalia, Mr. Johannes Remmel, assured to take personally care of the item
“Utilisation of waste from downs and feathers in the agriculture”.
Remains to hope, that the State Ministry of Health, the Ministries of Health of all countries and the medical profession will adept these positive and scientific indisputable insights concerning downs and feathers.
